The perfect break on the Isle of Wight consists of many elements; strolls along the beaches, fun at Blackgang Chine, animal magic at the Isle of Wight Zoo and reminders of this Dinosaur Isle’s prehistoric past.

Blackgang Chine is all about smuggling on the Isle of Wight.  Through the centuries, Blackgang Chine had a reputation for shipwrecks and gangs.  But now it’s all about families and young children will just love the rides.

Not far from Blackgang Chine is the Isle of Wight Zoo.  You might be surprised to find lions and tigers on the Isle of Wight but you can see them, and lots of other animals, quite at home at the Isle of Wight Zoo.

Around the coast from the Isle of Wight Zoo is Ventnor Botanic Gardens, plants thrive in the micro-climate here.

The Isle of Wight has become known as the Dinosaur Isle.  Learn about the days when huge animals walked on the Isle of Wight at the Dinosaur Isle Museum at Sandown, join a dinosaur walk or visit Dinosaur Farm.

There are royalty connections on the Isle of Wight, visit Queen Victoria’s home, Osborne House and Carisbrooke Castle where King Charles I was imprisoned.

The most iconic image on the Isle of Wight is the Needles.  Get a good view from Alum Bay, have fun at The Needles Park and take the chairlift down to the beach.

Thousands of boats come for Cowes Week  - but you don’t have to be afloat.  There’s a real party atmosphere, fun for everyone on the Isle of Wight.
