Fly high with Falconry in the Garden

22nd August 2008

Feathers will be fluttering at RHS Garden Wisley at the end of August as visitors will be treated to amazing falconry displays. On Tuesday 26th, Friday 29th and Sunday 31st August – and with a provisional date to be confirmed for Saturday 30th August, the BH Environmental team from Cobham will be bringing their fabulous portfolio of birds, ranging from owls, falcons, hawks, vultures and eagles, including Talisman, a 39 year old Bateleur Eagle. Look out for an extra date on Sunday 28th September aswell.

Whether you are wanting to watch the extraordinary flying displays, which kick off at 11am, or are simply wanting to get a closer look at these fascinating birds in the ‘meet & greet’, this is a perfect opportunity. Children over the age of 10 will also get the chance to handle some of the birds on display.

Don’t forget that until the end of August this year, children aged 6-16yrs get free entry into RHS Garden Wisley.

There’s also still plenty of time to try our Amazing Maize Maze, along with other fun family activities, as well as simply enjoying the garden in all its late summer splendour.
