11th January 2008

A magnificent seven new attractions debut for 2008

LEGOLAND® Windsor opens its doors on Saturday 15 March 2008 for a hugely exciting season and is inviting families to step inside the brand new Land of the Vikings featuring the thrilling Longboat Invader ride. This season the park is boasting a magnificent seven new attractions plus a top line up of special events so there's no better time to visit!

LEGOLAND brings out the hero in everyone and for 2008 the park is in search of families looking for adventure inside the £7 million Land of the Vikings. The new homestead is now complete for the new season with the addition of the Longboat Invader ride. Take a dizzying spin in this Viking vessel before graduating to the park's biggest and wettest ride to date, Vikings' River Splash. After joining the Viking fleet for wet and wild voyage through a fantasy world created by millions of LEGO® bricks, adventurers are challenged to unravel the mystery of the Nordic-themed hedge maze and catch a glimpse of the Viking god of mischief inside Loki's Labyrinth.

At the new Mole in One attraction* family and friends can challenge each other to a skilful round of mini-golf. This 18-hole course is located in a unique woodland setting filled with detailed LEGO-brick model animals and like all of the park's attractions it focuses on interactive, hands on entertainment.

There's a terrific line up of top entertainment for 2008 as LEGOLAND unveils two brand new shows. Families can enjoy traditional fairytales performed with a LEGOLAND twist at the DUPLO Theatre and for 2008 there's a new puppet show, Cinderella, plus a new, improved version of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. For thrills, spills and daring high dives, catch Johnny Thunder when he returns in a brand new live action show, Revenge of the Aztec Queen.

Fans of the hugely popular LEGO® games can get hands on at the new Xbox Gaming Zone in the heart of LEGO City, where budding gamers can battle for supremacy and put their console skills to the test.
