From the Victorian pier and three tier promenade, to a world-class marina and vibrant watersports centre, Eastbourne is both a classic and modern English seaside town.

A natural gateway to the South Downs, Eastbourne attracts thousands of visitors looking to get away from it all. Eastbourne is also a wonderful base to explore the glorious surrounding countryside and the Sussex Coast.

You're only a short drive away from Battle Abbey, famous site of the Battle of Hastings. If you're interested in this important British event, you should also visit Pevensey Castle – built upon existing fortifications by William the Conqueror after coming ashore in 1066.

For fun for all the family - visit nearby Drusillas Park and get nose to nose with hundreds of exotic animals, from monkeys and crocodiles to penguins and meerkats.

Ultimately, the beach dominates the activities in Eastbourne itself. And, whether you're listening to music in the 1930s bandstand or simply dipping your toes in the Quality Coast award-winning waters, it's easy to see why the beach is so popular!
