A romantic 13th and 15thC castle which was the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. Previous owners, the Astor family, added the Tudor-style village and undertook much restoration in the early 1900s. The interior contains fine furniture, panelling and objets d'art. An exhibition of miniature model houses can be seen in the grounds. The award-winning gardens feature a lake with loggia and piazza, classical sculpture in the formal Italian garden, topiary, herb garden, maze and water maze. Last admission 1 hour before closing.
