Renowned for its bracing and equable climate since Victorian times Bexhill is a town that has been a well kept secret by those visitors who return year after year. Set in the midst of 1066 Country, Bexhill offers a quiet charm missing from many larger, well-known seaside resorts. In fact little has changed since the 1950’s and 60s – so for a bit of quiet nostalgia come and visit Bexhill-on-Sea. Take time to admire the magnificent Victorian and Edwardian buildings as you stroll along the two miles of promenade. Take in the stunning seaviews across the bay to Eastbourne and Beachy Head or Galley Hill and Hastings. Enjoy the award winning sand and pebble beach. Whether you want to try fishing, windsurfing, sailing or simply take a swim in the sea there is something for everyone. Away from the beach you can hire a boat, play tennis in Egerton Park, or try your hand mini-golf on the Metropole Lawns, just west of the De La Warr Pavilion on the promenade. There is some wonderful accommodation if you wish to stay, but if coming just for the day there are still lots of the delights for you to enjoy. However long your visit you will want to come back – that’s guaranteed!
