Wivelsfield
On the border of East and West Sussex just north east of Burgess Hill, is the large village of Wivelsfield. The newer part of the village is known as Wivelsfield Green and is close to the main London to Brighton railway. The railway also links the village with Lewes, Eastbourne and Hastings.

It is said that the first ever Donkey Derby was held in Wivelsfield! Sponsors for the event included Laurel and Hardy, Gert and Daisy, and Charlie Chaplin.
