Albourne Estate Vineyard

About

Albourne Estate is a boutique single estate vineyard dedicated to producing exciting and distinctive English wines.  We are located just 8 miles from Brighton on the edge of the South Downs National Park.  Within just 2 years of launching our first wine we were awarded the highest accolade of ‘UK Wine of the Year 2015’ for one of our white wines.

We are open for vineyard and winery tours and tastings from May through to October on most Saturdays.   Please go to our website to book on-line or by telephone or email.  All tours must be booked in advance.

Our tours start with a walk around the beautiful 30 acre vineyard where you will learn about many of the challenges and joys of growing grapes for wine in England – including explanations on site selection, vine planting and vineyard management practices throughout the year.

We then continue to the Winery and Bottle Store to see the equipment used in making our wines with detailed explanations of the processes involved in both still and sparkling wine production providing an insight into what makes our wines so special.

Lastly we visit our Wine Tasting Room and Shop sited within a 400 year old Sussex barn, for a tutored tasting of 3 of our current releases.

If you are interested in learning more about what it takes to produce world class wines in the midst of the Sussex countryside…please come and visit us.
