Locked In A Room home to the UK's largest escape room experiences. Participants are locked in a room* with a series of tests, puzzles and clues that combined allow the unlocking of the rooms mystery and hopefully a successful escape, challenging them every step of the way...
Set in the heart of Southampton, Westquay, our venue currently boasts 8 heavily themed identical rooms over two formats allowing up to 8 teams to compete against each other AND the clock, upping the stakes significantly.
Each room can be privately booked for friends and family or, if you have a large enough group, we can host up to 48 players in a head to head battle.
Our purpose built venue is designed for the ultimate escape experience and we welcome any pre-visits to decide if we're right for your party.
Our immersive rooms were sculpted with the easily scared and claustrophobic in mind allowing us to become the fantastic all round, all weather, 5 star activity that we are today!
*Rooms are designed to give the impression of being locked in, full access to leave is always optional in the event of emergencies/personal reasons

If travelling from the east or west, approach Southampton on the M27 and at junction 3 join the M271 signposted ‘Southampton’.
If travelling from the north, follow the signs on the M3 towards Westquay.
We are located directly under the overpass on Portland Terrace, opposite Costa Coffee.
Due to our central location we have ample parking around us. Our closest car park is Portland Terrace NCP Car Park (1 minute walk) at £5 for up to 2 hours or £10 for up to 24 hours. By Train Southampton Central station is a five-minute walk from Locked In A Room.
By Bus Bluestar runs a service from the train station to Westquay and the Red Funnel Terminal. This service costs £1 per trip and runs every 30 minutes.
By Ferry If travelling with a vehicle: Red Funnel operates a round-the-clock ferry service from East Cowes, Isle of Wight, to Southampton. Crossing time is around 55 minutes.
If travelling on foot: the Red Jet high-speed passenger service runs direct to Southampton from Cowes, Isle of Wight, every 30 minutes (depending on the time of day) at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour. Crossing time is around 23 minutes and services are timed to link with the Quay Connect bus to Westquay and Southampton Central station.
