Lightwater Country Park

The country park extends to 59 hectares and consists of a variety of habitats including open heathland, woodland, meadows and ponds. The heathland is a protected Site of Special Scientific Interest (S.S.S.I.) due to the rare wildlife it supports. There are waymarked walks and nature trails, and the view from High Curley hill is well worth the climb! Facilities also include a dog-free picnic area and children’s playground.
