About

In Brighton’s famous The Lanes location you will find this beautiful traditional pub, full of charm & character. To walk through the door of this pub is to step back in time to the days of Victorian splendour. The Cricketers has gained a great reputation for offering quality home cooked food using fresh & local ingredients. Our extensive menu offers something for everyone and contains our versions of pub favourites along with some more creative dishes.

There has been a pub on this site since 1547, hosting one of our most famous "guests" in the past "Jack the Ripper" and with The Cricketers being immortalised by Graham Greene in his classic novel "Brighton Rock" it was decided for the upstairs bar to honour the pubs history and is now home to some of the most spectacular memorabilia concerning Graham Greene & ‘Jack the Ripper’.

The Greene Room has a modern twist and has established a name for itself as a high end Wine and cocktail bar. It is a self-contained bar, independent to The Cricketers with its own music/live music facilities & excellent buffet or canapés selection, size and location lend themselves perfectly to private hire.
