View over Dymchurch Beach

About

The flat, mainly sandy beach at Dymchurch stretches for approximately 3 miles along the Kent coast.  This award-winning blue flag stretches from Dungeness to Hythe and is ideal for families.  Enjoy some time sandcastle building and paddling in the sea or head out for a stroll along the beach - you can walk for miles.  Be aware that as the beach is quite flat, the tide can come in very quickly.

Enjoy a ride on the donkeys, a visit to the amusements, a trip on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch narrow gauge railway or a visit to the Martello Tower (managed by English Heritage - open by appointment only) just off Dymchurch High Street.

When the tide is in, there is a wheelchair and pushchair friendly promenade at the rear. Pay and display parking is available at the Martello Tower and in the town.

Dogs are only allowed from the end of September until May
