No short break away would be complete without a spot of retail therapy and South East England has more than enough to keep your heart content. Be sure to visit if your looking for designer outlets like Bicester Shopping Village, high street shopping in a quaint town like Guildford, or major shopping centres like Bluewater.

Here is a selection some of the best designer outlets, high street shopping and shopping centres available in South East England.

Designer Outlets

Further south and just outside of Ashford is Ashford Designer Outlet, a spectacular shopping destinations offering over 80 designer brands with discounts of up to 50%.

Shopping Centres

High Street Shopping

Some terrific shopping can also be had in Hastings, with unique antique and bric-a-brac shops sat side by side with local craft, art and furniture shops.

Salisbury is a great day out if your looking to combine a spot of high street shopping with a taste of history, the city’s centuries old cathedral is just a short walk from the high street. Canterbury is also great for shopping, with its cobbled paved streets surrounding the city’s famous Cathedral. Guildford’s high street is lined with some fabulous shops too, many of which have traditional frontages with a picturesque high street criss-crossed by quaint lanes and alleyways.

The Lanes in Brighton is great for high street shopping with a difference. Once the heart of  an old fishing town, this historic quarter is now a maze of winding streets doted with many unique and quirky shops, cafes and restaurants.
