Wallops Wood Cottages

About

Award-winning contemporary, ground-floor, self-catering cottages in a converted farm building perched on a hillside in the South Downs National Park, with stunning views. Designed with accessibility, families and pets in mind, they are an ideal year-round base for walking, cycling and sightseeing.

Within easy reach of London, Winchester, Petersfield, Chichester, Southampton and Portsmouth, the eight ground-floor self-contained cottages are completed to an outstanding standard, with oak flooring and with underfloor heating, woodburners and complimentary WiFi. The cottages are individually rated (M1, M2, M3, H1 and V1) under the National Accessible Scheme and both children and pets are welcome and specially catered for.

The cottages, which sleep 4-8 people, can be booked individually or as a group (up to 54 people excluding infant cots) ideal for multi-generational gatherings, celebrations or corporate get-togethers. Each cottage comprises an open plan sitting/dining room and fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. All bedrooms are twin or super kingsize, with TVs and en-suite shower rooms and one communally accessible bathroom. Individual enclosed gardens, safe for both children and pets, are equipped with hot tubs, outdoor furniture and barbecues and access to a large shared lawn.

Guests consistently comment on how comfortable and well equipped the cottages are, how friendly and helpful the staff and owners are, how fabulous the views from the hot tubs and what a relaxing place it is to stay.

Wallops Wood Cottages can recommend excellent places to eat out locally, help source delicious local/seasonal ingredients through fellow members of Hampshire Fare, provide home-made meals for the fridge or even book a personal chef.

The cottages offer bike storage, outdoor washing facilities and puncture repair kits and are only about 2.5 miles away from Old Winchester Hill on the South Downs Way. They have a cycling page on their website which gives information such as a local repair shop that can come to the cottages to do bike repairs, local off road bike routes, GPS cycle routes and maps.
