About

Welcome to Eton

Eton dates back to the 13th century by which time it had grown up around its long and narrow High Street which formed part of the main road from Windsor to London – its main purpose being to serve the traffic and to keep part of the road to Windsor in repair

Nowadays, the town is most famous as the home of Eton College founded by King Henry VI in 1440 but it’s still bustling High Street is full of interesting shops, places to eat, historic buildings and many other points of interest.
