Discover hidden Kent, its people and its history. Self- led or guided walking/hiking holidays, designed to meet the needs of a wide range of abilities, starting or finishing in the City of Canterbury. Luggage transfer is provided, with accommodation in good quality inns and hotels, marked up maps, ‘tracker support’ and locally sourced packed lunches for all Kent based walks.
Walks include Winchester to Canterbury (130 miles/14 days), Rochester to Canterbury (45 miles/4 days walking), Discovering Rural Kent (5 days walking), Walking the White Cliffs (4 days walking). Short breaks with accommodation in Canterbury (2 days of walking). Groups are welcome (day walks by arrangement), and large long distance charity walks as well as smaller parties, can be facilitated.
A complimentary copy of Derek Bright’s book ‘The Pilgrims’ Way, Fact and Fiction of an ancient trackway’ (The History Press, 2011) is provided on arrival to each group walking from Winchester or Rochester.
The A2 and A260 connect Canterbury with Dover Port and the Eurotunnel terminal. There are good road links from the M2 motorway and the M20/M25 to Rochester and Canterbury
Winchester is approached via M3/M27
Regular train services from London St. Pancras and Victoria stations to Rochester and Canterbury. London Waterloo to Winchester. National Express coaches from London Victoria Coach station to Canterbury and Winchester, (for Rochester it is a 15 minute taxi journey from the nearest coach destination of Gillingham).
