Welcome to Southwater Watersports, we are a small friendly bunch of people, passionate about all activities on the water. Our team is made up of talented, qualified individuals who are here to help get you started on the water, whatever your level of expertise. We aim to offer watersports to everyone, we can train anyone from 8yrs and our expertise is backed up with National Governing Body Qualifications.
We can cater for one to one tuition, group bookings, Stag & Hen dos, team building events and multi-activity days for groups including schools, our aim is to undertake watersports safely whilst having as much fun as possible! We offer many activities but in short we’re the place to visit for kayaking, canoeing and sailing and to hire Sit on top Kayaks and Mountain Bikes.
We are conveniently nestled in the beautiful Southwater Country Park, a 55acre site, which has level surfaced paths providing easygoing lakeside walks. There is a small cordoned beach on the far side of the lake with bbq’s and picnic areas, the park also includes a beautiful wildlife area, which is managed for nature conservation and supports wildlife such as lizards, Nightingales and various butterflies and dragonflies. The adjacent Downs Link bridle way passes through the Park, making it a base to explore further afield by foot or Bike. As well as our own facilities there is also a Visitor Centre and Cafe with toilets. We also have our retail shop on site, UK Kayaking, where you can purchase online or visit to purchase those essential watersports accessories. We can provide anything from gloves and buoyancy aids to an entire boat.
There are Local signs of the South side of Southwater on the A24. Just follow them that say Country Park and Watersports and you will come to the park on your left. Then just follow the signs round the corner to the station road carpark entrance and park. There is a small charge for parking
If you use the trains then Horsham station is the station to use. From there you can get a Taxi from the station to the Watersports Centre in Southwater Country park. Also you can catch a bus(number 23 or 98) from outside Horsham train station to Southwater and there is a bus stop across the road to the Country park
