Founded in the Spring of 2014, and licenced later that year, Silent Pool Distillers was set up with the vision of creating hand-crafted, premium spirits with uncompromising quality. By the skilful hands of the distillers, each essential ingredient is carefully selected and, where possible, locally sourced. Using only the finest botanicals from nature, the distillers strive to capture the essence and sprawling beauty of the Surrey Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is hugely important to the company that every stage is overseen with precision, knowledge and exceptional care. Every single bottle that is produced by Silent Pool Distillers, including their signature product Silent Pool Gin, is entirely crafted within the four walls of the distillery, even the bottling takes place on site. It is all very labour intensive, but well worth the effort to create an impressive portfolio of delicate and complex spirits that are rolling out across the UK and beyond.

Distillery Tours
Gin lovers - join us for a 90-minute-deep dive into the Silent Pool Distillers’ gin experience.
We’ll begin by talking about how we came to exist as well as telling the story of the Silent Pool. We will talk about the history of Gin, where it came from and why it is so popular today.
Next, we will tell you what makes our Gin so special, covering the 4 different methods of production, talk about each botanical we use and why, even sampling as we go.
Finishing with a tasting of the full range, we start by trying our award-winning Silent Pool Gin and end with our Gin based fruit cordials.
We formulate, distil and bottle our award-winning liqueurs here, nestled in the Surrey Hills. The Gin experience is an intricate look at how we strive to be a truly unique producer of handcrafted spirits.
