Pitstone Windmill

About

One of the oldest post mills in Britain dating from 1627. Bearing the date of 1627. Restored of volunteers in 1963-70 but now fixed in position. Located approx 100 metres from nearest public highway. Car parking available but rough track makes wheelchair access difficult.

Public Transport Directions


Nearest station is Tring. Turn right from station. First left turn after 1 mile.   Join B485 and turn right.  Mill 1.25 miles on left.   Caution, no highway paths.
