The Museum of Army Chaplaincy is now closed perminently.

 

The Museum of Army Chaplaincy is a unique museum covering the story of Chaplains in the British Army since 1796.

The Museum's collections and displays will have something of interest to all visitors of all ages. From military and church history, family history to artifactsfrom far away places, visitors will find their visit to the Museum at Amport House, moving and inspirational.

Guided tours are available to groups ranging in size 3 - 35 people. These tours are led by the very knowledgeable Curator of the Museum. Entry to the Museum is free, however visitors are encouraged to make a donation towards the operating costs.

The museum is located on a military site; hence all visitors are required to make an appointment in advance of their visit.

Road Directions

From the A303, turn off at the exit signposted Andover and Weyhill. From the roundabout at the top of the sliproad take the exit towards Amport and 'Amport House', head on into Monxton heading towards Grateley. After approximately 1 mile, turn right towards Amport. Proceed down the hill, approach Amport House via the main gate.
