The Wychwood Inn is a destination where guests dine in a comfortable, enriched atmosphere. We know you'll find our dining area elegant and full of character.
Cotswold restaurant in Oxfordshire
Our well known restaurant in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds is coordinated by our admirable head chef Joe McCarthy.< The menus are always full of delicious and distinct choices that can be enjoyed in our ambient, dog friendly pub, peaceful Cotswold restaurant, private dining room or in our large pub garden.
A succession of new and devoted clientele from all over the Cotswolds and beyond are welcomed time and time again. It is worth booking a table to save disappointment.
The Wychwood Inn chose to join the AA three years ago and has been presented with the AA Dinner Award every year. Our produce is sourced from the first rate UK suppliers and, where possible, locally.
Our meat comes from Aubrey Allen, a family business established in 1993, our fish is supplied by Rogers of Chipping Norton and our vegetables are delivered by Wellocks.
Each season Joe conscientiously chooses and assess new dishes, which the staff and owners scrupulously test. It’s a tough job.
From Burford follow Burford High Street (A361) north, down the hill. Once through the traffic lights turn right at the small round about (second exit). Follow the A361 through Fulbrook, for 4 miles when you will reach Shipton-under-Wychwood. Follow the road through the village past the Wild Gardens on your left hand side. After a small green area on your right hand side, where there is a war memorial you will come to a junction. The Wychwood Inn is situated on the right hand side, on the corner.
From Chipping Norton simply follow the Burford Road (A361) all the way from Chipping Norton to Shipton-under-Wychwood for about 6 miles. Once you are in the village you will find us on the first left hand corner.
