Exmoor Walking Holidays, based from the Yarn Market Hotel situated in the very centre of Dunster, which is purported to be one of the best preserved medieval villages in England, offers guided and self-guided walking holidays. The hotel is well equipped to cater for all walkers needs with maps loan, walk leaflets, knowledgeable local advice, a boot and drying room and assistance with transport. Walkers can join Exmoor Walking Group to benefit from discounted rates for walking holidays, regular newsletters and to make new friends.

Road Directions

 Travelling from the North leave M5 motorway at junction 24 (Bridgwater) sign posted Minehead.

Travelling from the South leave M5 motorway junction 26 (Wellington/Taunton) sign posted Minehead.

Through both towns follow signs for Minehead, (Dunster is approximately 2 Miles before Minehead).  After the village of Carhampton you will see Dunster Castle on your left, just after this there is a set of traffic lights, take the slip road off to the left sign posted ‘Dunster Village’. 

As you come up the hill and then around a left hand bend you will see the octagonal building (The Yarn Market) on the right, the hotel’s reception is behind The Yarn Market.

The journey takes about 50 minutes from junction 24, and about 50 minutes from junction 26.

Public Transport Directions

From Taunton train or coach station take the 28 Minehead bus and alight at Dunster Steep bus stop. Then walk the short distance up the hill into Dunster village. The hotel is on the right hand side next to the octagonal market building as you enter the village.
