The Isle of Thanet has provided inspiration for some of history’s greatest authors, artists and architects and it continues to inspire creativity today.

To help inspire your own 48-hours of creative discovery, check out these ‘pick and mix’ itinerary suggestions. From fun creative workshops and fascinating public art trails to amazing art galleries and small, independent studios, all beside a breath-taking backdrop of award-winning beaches and bays. 

 

Unleash the artistic talents you never knew you had, embark on a new hobby or return to a craft you tried once before - remember how much you enjoyed it?

Lose yourself in the moment painting, drawing or throwing a pot. Find your focus with felt flower-making, leatherwork or designing a garden in a jar. Savour the sensory pleasures of choosing essential oils for bespoke candle-making, mixing cookery ingredients or crafting sustainable jewellery. There’s nothing as fulfilling as seeing your finished masterpieces!

Kent’s Creative Isle Competition
