Group Friendly Days Out in South East England

Whitchurch Silk Mill

Whitchurch Silk Mill

On the banks of the River Test, in the heart of rural Hampshire, Whitchurch Silk Mill is a magnificent Grade Two* listed building. Today it is the oldest silk mill in the UK still working in its original building. We weave luxurious silk scarves and silk for a range of unique gifts and customers in interior design, heritage conservation, and fashion on our Victorian looms. Groups can enjoy a guided tour and discover how we make the delicate thread into fabulous cloth. Highlights include the Victorian winding and warping machinery, the waterwheel, the historic weaving shed filled with looms and explore the beautiful gardens on the banks of the River Test.

Old Royal Naval College

Enjoy a fantastic day out for groups in Greenwich

Known as the UK’s own Sistine Chapel, the Painted Hall at the Old Royal Naval College, in the heart of Maritime Greenwich, is the perfect place for group visits. Enjoy the beautiful riverside location, spectacular architecture designed by Sir Christopher Wren and 500 years of extraordinary history, including being the birthplace of Henry VIII and Elizabeth I.
