Egg-citing Easter Fun in South East England

There's a whole host of egg-citing fun to enjoy across South East England this Easter holidays. Get out and about at Blenheim Palace on a traditional Easter Egg hunt or join the Very Hungry Caterpillar scavenger hunt at Wakehurst. Go in search for rabbits on the family fun trail at Fishbourne Roman Palace, or enjoy the chance to see and discover more about our very own great British wildlife at the British Wildlife Centre.

Why not try your luck in our two-night break away competition in 1066 Country or book your visit to experience the floral wonderland at Salisbury Cathedral in May. This April the British Wildlife Centre is open for three weeks over Easter. With everything from harvest mice to red deer, you’ll see otters, wildcats, foxes, owls flying, and enjoy walking among free-ranging red squirrels. Chichester, West Sussex

Come and find the rabbits at Fishbourne Roman Place, the largest Roman home in the UK which was home to the country’s first ever rabbit nearly 2,000 years ago.

A fun family trail will run at the site from Saturday 9th to Sunday 24th April including access to our beautiful, recreated Roman gardens, which are among the oldest found in Britain.

A range of free family-friendly activities will also be provided from Monday 18th to Friday 22 April as part of admission. 

Haywards Heath, West Sussex

Join The Very Hungry Caterpillar this Easter and follow an interactive trail through Wakehurst, Kew’s wild botanic garden in Sussex.

Digest fun facts as you go and be transformed into a beautiful butterfly.

Book our add-on activity, the Caterpillar Picnic scavenger hunt, to find all ten items The Very Hungry Caterpillar eats. Includes FREE prize and Cawston Press drink.

Salisbury, Wiltshire

See Salisbury Cathedral transform into a floral wonderland at their Flower Festival in May. Experience over thirty thousand blooms meticulously arranged by 300 volunteer flower arrangers, celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and the end of Cathedral’s 800th anniversary year.

Beautiful displays reflect the Cathedral’s magnificent Gothic setting, including material from the Cathedral archive, pieces celebrating the ‘best of British’, and a recreation of the Queen’s coronation robe entirely out of flowers.
