Professional theatre company LynchPin brings their five-star production of You Give Me Fever - the Phaedra Cabaret by Jack Lynch to Petersfield. Phaedra is one of the classic heroines of Greek theatre, but her story has never been told like this before, where myth is fused with classic jazz and a splash of cocktails! In this innovative production, Fey (Phaedra), a glamorous chanteuse, relates her life story. Hers is a journey into the world of Greek gods, doomed love affairs and a bull-headed Minotaur, told in words and perfect renditions of classic songs woven into the narrative. Standards performed include 'Mad About the Boy', 'Let's Face the Music and Dance', 'You Give Me Fever' and many more. And Fey expertly mixes relevant cocktails between the songs to complete the cabaret ambience.
Fey is played by Pippa Winslow in a production directed by the playwright in what promises to be a fascinating and unique evening of myth, jazz and mixology.
