West's Wood Fair is an event featuring the many interesting ways in which wood is used .In the arena we will have a gun dog displays, Dorset Axemen, pole climbing demonstrations and a chainsaw race. We are situated next to the South Downs were you can take a tractor and trailer ride into the depths of the forest. Or have a go at axe throwing, archery or the log roll.
For the first time there will be the opportunity to have your photo taken with an owl and we also have a kids corner where there will be a forest school, den building, face painting and other activities.
If you're feeling lucky there's many competitions and races going on over the weekend like our Sussex Scrumpy Stakes, Timber Identification Challenge, Guess the Cubic Foot of the Tree or Hit the Nail on the Head, many of which are free to enter.
The Wood Turners Rest will open it's doors once again with a large selection of locally made real ales to choose from, and there will be plenty of food and live music.
