About
The Medway Walk4Life Day was a combined event organised by NHS Medway and Medway Council at the Great Lines on Saturday 24 September.
It was a very beautiful sunny morning. The walkers started from the Great Lines and were guided by Medway Health Walks Volunteer Walk Leaders to the Lower Lines, known locally as The Admirals Garden. They were met by guides and treated to a very interesting tour of the lines with plenty of time to enjoy this historic site.
Many of the walkers showed an interest in joining one of our many Medway Health Walks available. If you are interested in joining a walk please copy and paste the link below into your browser.
The walks normally range from 30 to 60 minutes. We have two walks of two hours for the more adventurous. The choice is from fast and hilly to a more sedate pace with toddlers and buggies. You can enjoy beautiful rural landscapes or interesting urban green spaces, all Free of charge.
If you are interested in becoming a Volunteer Walk Leader please email Hazel Gallagher at walking@medway.gov.uk for more information about this fun and free training day.
