Sandwich Salutes the 40s

Sandwich Salutes would like to introduce the team as we start to get ready for this year’s event. Looking after reenactors is Simon Todd, then we have Lance and Jo with stalls on the Quay and also working alongside Siobhan with our entertainment. Market Street is managed by Annemarie and we welcome David alongside Sandwich Medieval Centre who will be running our bar. My role – I’m another Simon and I’m the general factotum (look it up) and organising classic and military vehicles. Join us this year 2023 for a fantastic weekend of re enactment, great music and stalls celebrating the best of the 1940s .

The P22 Gunship manned by a crew of 6 will moor on the River in Sandwich for the weekend. It will be the heart of a weekend of re-enacting the 40s. The likes of the Desert Rats, RAF, Red Cross Nurses, Military Police, Home Guard, Land Army Girls,  number 4 Commando Group.
