Capture the magic of roses by infusing, mixing and making rose-inspired skin care products to take home.
This workshop is an opportunity to take more than a moment to stop and smell the roses. Learn how to capture the scent of your favourite rose, about the art of extraction, and how to make a rose petal-infused oil, a rose lip balm and a rose-perfumed oil.
Participants will design, make and take home products using precious, organic ingredients. There will be a short walk in the Rose Garden with pruning shears!
Presented by Laura Hoy who completed her training with Neal's Yard Remedies in 2009 and there began her ongoing adventure with nature and nurturing and a renewed awareness of her sense of smell. As she began sharing her expertise by way of workshops, retreats and private consultations she wanted to make each experience sensual for her clients, always bringing along fragrant plant material or hosting at venues with a connection to essential oil-yielding plants, such as beautiful gardens!
Sourcing scented roses however can be awkward, and even trickier is finding those that are not sprayed with chemicals during their growing cycle. A love affair with growing and smelling roses as well as capturing their scent became a little more than a hobby – so it is an absolute joy for her to bring 'Rose Alchemy'
