Group enjoying beer at Ascot Racecourse: Autumn Racing Weekend & Ascot Beer Festival

About

Friday’s card features the listed Noel Murless Stakes run over a mile and six furlongs.

Saturday: The Betfred Challenge Cup, Europe’s most valuable seven furlong handicap at £150,000, is the big betting race on a quality card which includes three Group 3 races; The Grosvenor Casinos Cumberland Lodge Stakes, the John Guest Bengough Stakes and the BMW Cornwallis Stakes.

BEER FESTIVAL

This year there will be over 250 different real ales to choose from, making it our biggest selection ever.

The Longdog brewery from Basingstoke will be back to defend their Beer of the Festival crown which they rode off with last year with their amazing “Lamplight Porter”.

As usual we will showcase local breweries from Berkshire and the surrounding counties, but in addition we are pleased to welcome the breweries of the Black Country to feature on our Regional Bar.

We are also arranging a few Festival Special Beers to be brewed for the festival as well.

For cider lovers, we will have thirty to choose from including local producers – Mr Whitehead; Ciderniks; Salthill and Tutts Clump augmented by our favourites from the West Country... all served, we guarantee, without ice!

A voucher system will be in operation for all Beer Festival ales, perries and ciders. A half pint voucher is priced at £2.00, with 3 half pint vouchers being sold for £5.00.

Free Tasting Notes and polycarbonate glasses will be provided, but it will also be possible to purchase a limited edition commemorative oversized pint glass for £4.50.

Please note the Beer Festival will be based in the Grandstand Admission area so all racegoers will have the chance to taste the real ale, cider or perry.
