She was only 25 when she started her first business - Great Guns Marketing.
Today, the company boasts a multi-million-pound turnover.
Around the same period, she contended with rapidly deteriorating sight and went completely blind within a few months.
She was honoured by Her Majesty the Queen in 2007 and awarded an MBE for services to business.
She was featured in Channel 4's 'Secret Millionaire' and won the Women Mean Business Award - Britain's biggest award for women running their own businesses.
In 2015, after leaving the company she founded, she joined BCMS as the Marketing Director for leading business sales advisor for BCMS.
She is an inspirational figure with an extraordinary story, and she will be coming to Networking-in!
