Murder, Mystery and Suspense - solve the clues on our steam train steam supper evening! The scene is set at Chinnor station, All you have to do is follow the clues, question the suspects, find the physical evidence and solve the case before Sherlock Holmes makes his deductions.. The Theft, and Colonel Holman Stevens, the railway magnate, has called upon the services of Sherlock Holmes to investigate the ongoing thefts from his trains, which are believed to be the work of a ruthless gang. Meanwhile the mysterious Captain Basil, a famous explorer, is on board a train with a valuable haul of gold coins, which he is to present to the British Museum. A murder follows but the body appears to be that of an innocent passenger, one Doctor Dietler. Who is Captain Basil? Why was a murder committed? What is the motive for the subsequent blackmail aboard the train? Join Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson as they unravel no less than three crimes in this complex case. Your evening starts at 19.00 and finishes at approx. 22.30 back at Chinnor station, where the murderer is revealed. We suggest a minimum age of 10 years. Price includes three round trips of the line, locally fried Fish & Chip* supper with Beechdean Ice Cream to follow - there is also a paid-for service of alcoholic beers and wines, soft drinks etc, served at your seat by our volunteer stewards. *Alternatives include sausage, steak pie, and veggie burger - all with chips (or even just chips, if you prefer!)Advance booking only as the numbers are limited, so we recommend that you do book early to avoid disappointment please.
