Marlow Town Regatta & Festival


The Marlow Town Regatta & Festival is now firmly on the map as an annual event which combines a traditional rowing Regatta and its garden party ambiance with a ‘family festival day’ including Dragon Boat racing and lots of fun entertainment.

Saturday 16th June 2018

  • 8:00am - 6:30pm

    Marlow Town Rowing Regatta

    Racing will start at 8.00am with 2 further divisions at approximately 11.30am and 3.00pm. There will be no break for lunch and racing is expected to finish at about 6.30pm.

  • 9:30am - 8:00pm

    Dress Code

    Saturday’s Marlow Town Regatta is an opportunity to dress up and and a STRICT DRESS CODE is applied from 9.30am onwards for all Adult and Youth visitors.

    Official Opening

    Sir Steve Redgrave CBE DL and Lady Ann Redgrave will officially open the Marlow Town Regatta & Festival at 10.00am.

  • 10.30am - 6.00pm

    Food & Drink

    A number of food stalls are available within the enclosure along with the Marlow Round Table Riverside Bar.

  • 12:00pm - 2:45pm

    Jim Campbell Riverside Dining – lunch

    Jim Campbell Riverside Dining will serve lunch from 12.00pm. Please book in advance to ensure availability of a table.

  • 2.45pm - 5:30pm

    Jim Campbell Riverside Dining – afternoon tea

    Afternoon tea is available from 2.45pm. Please book in advance to ensure availability of a table.

  • 12:30pm - 5:00pm

    Marlow FM 97.5

    Marlow FM 97.5 will be broadcasting from the event throughout the day. The Marlow FM stage will host live music interspersed with commentary from 12.30pm.

    Marlow Dragon Boat Festival

    The Marlow Dragon Boat Festival takes place on a shortened rowing regatta course with races starting at 9.00am and running throughout the day. The enclosure will be open from 8.00am and the dragon boat finals are expected to take place after 4.00pm.

  • 10.30am

    Churches Together – Sunday Service

    A joint service will be held within the enclosure in Higginson Park on Sunday morning from 10.30am until about 12.00pm.

  • 10.30am - 5.00pm

    Trade & Craft Stalls

    On Sunday the area around the main arena will be filled with trade and craft stalls.

  • 10.30am - 5.00pm

    Food & Drink

    A number of food stalls are available along with the Marlow Round Table Riverside Bar.

  • 12:00pm - 5:00pm

    Free Entertainments

    Sunday will be filled with family friendly entertainment There is no charge for entry so come down and watch the river events, visit the trade, food, and craft stalls and enjoy the afternoon. Entertainments are planned throughout the day.

  • 12.30pm - 5.00pm

    Have a Row with Naomi Riches

    Come down on Sunday and join Naomi Riches who will be there to help you have a go on a rowing machine. Post your time on the leader board and watch others as they try to beat you.

  • 2.00pm - 4.00pm

    Accessible Boat Club – Bell Boating

    The Accessible Boat Club is providing the opportunity for people with physical, sensory and or learning difficulties to go Bell Boating during the Marlow Dragon Boat Festival. Participants can be accompanied by carers on the boat if needed and will need to pre-register on the day.

  • 2.30pm - 3.00pm

    Dog Show

    Have you got an amazing, lovable, cute dog. Bring them down to the park for the Marlow Festival Dog Show. Registration in the information tent is from 2.00pm with judging starting at 2.30pm.

  • 1.00pm - 4.30pm

    Marlow Bake-off

    Discover your inner Mary Berry and enter our fun amateur cake baking contest. Entry is free and is for amateurs only. So, pop on your apron, grab the icing sugar and get baking some delightfully tasty treats.
