What can we learn from the works of JMW Turner and how can we use his experiences in our own art?
Join Turner's House Museum Director, Matthew Morgan, and Learning and Volunteers Officer, Rita Piglionica, in the beautiful and inspiring setting of Turner's House, to engage with works by Turner and discover how these can be a starting point to create new works that connect to contemporary themes and new creativity.
First, listen to a brief talk, then respond by making your own work and experimenting with different art materials in an artist-led creative session.
The course is not about 'how to paint like Turner,' but how Turner's revolutionary vision and practice can give rise to new ideas and creativity.
