Kelmscott manor heritage open day

About

Celebrate Kelmscott Manor's First Heritage Open Day and Discover the Inspirational 'Heaven on Earth' of William Morris for free.

Kelmscott Manor, a place that ignited the creative spirit of William Morris, invites you to its first-ever Heritage Open Day on Saturday, September 9th. Immerse yourself in the historical charm of the Manor and its breathtaking surroundings while enjoying a range of free creative activities that pay homage to the artistic legacy that still thrives today.
Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Kelmscott village, Kelmscott Manor has long been celebrated as a haven for creativity. The Manor and its idyllic surroundings served as a source of inspiration for William Morris, who famously referred to it as a "Heaven on Earth." Now, on this special day, visitors can step inside and explore it at no cost.
Our Maker in Residence, Alison Proctor, will be demonstrating her craft as a ceramicist and we'll have creative outdoor activities and drop in printmaking for visitors to take part in.
