Harvest Festival

About

Discover the fascinating traditions of our farming history. This popular annual harvest event provides a unique opportunity to explore the sights, sounds and smells of harvest past, with the Museum's restored 1947 threshing machine working hard to process the year's wheat crop – as long as the rain holds off!

Over the weekend the Museum's Henton chapel will be home to a beautiful traditional harvest display.

Learn about rural life see our saw pit and pole lathe in action and learn more about our charcoal kiln. Watch demonstrations of traditional skills and discover a range of traditional crafts.

Our Harvest event was featured in the Telegraph's Best Harvest Festivals 2018

Please note that all activities are subject to change and weather.

Standard admission prices apply. Free entry for Annual Pass holders.
