Aboard the Mary Rose, crew members came from every class. From the ordinary sailors, skilled archers and men of war, carpenters and cooks, to the wealthy and powerful gentlemen, educated men such as the surgeon and not forgetting the ship's captain himself.
But what would the lives of the wealthy Tudors have been like? What courtly manners and etiquette would they have adhered to, what did they wear, eat and do for fun?
This August, we invite you to meet the Lords and Ladies of the Tudor Court, enjoy their beautiful and costly costumes, hear their tales and learn all about manners and etiquette during Tudor times.
Join us for Tudor music and dancing with live performances and demonstrations.
Why not have a go at dressing like a Tudor Lord or Lady yourself?
This event mixes history with family fun and will immerse young and old into the world of the Tudors.
