Costumed guided tours are also available. See the Rochester of Dickens come to life with Footsteps in Time on a walking tour of the old city, where you can see and learn about the beautiful buildings the author immortalised in his books.

Some of Dickens' most famous characters, including Nancy, the "tart with a heart" from Oliver Twist, will escort you round the Rochester he knew and loved. This is not just a walking tour but 90 minutes of entertainment and information.

This walk is only available for booked parties and is suitable for wheelchair users. Bookings and payments must be made in advance
