About

Fresh from winning the 2021 Children’s Book of the Year at the British Book Awards for the first in the Adventures on Trains series The Highland Falcon Thief, M. G. Leonard and Sam Sedgman invite you and all the family for a fun, live event to celebrate the publication of the fourth book in the series, Danger at Dead Man’s Pass.

Maya and Sam will talk about their adventures writing together, how they come up with the ideas for the books and share their passion for the wonderful world of railways. You’ll be treated to a dramatic reading from the newest adventure Danger at Dead Man’s Pass, a demonstration of the science behind a steam engine, a question-and-answer session, and an exclusive teaser about the fifth book, Sabotage on the Solar Express, coming in February 2022. The series illustrator Elisa Paganelli will also be live drawing throughout the event!

At the end of the event M. G. Leonard, Sam Sedgman and Elisa Paganelli will be in the foyer to meet young readers and sign books.
