About

PORT LYMPNE

Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve is the UK’s first conservation hotel & reserve. Once the opulent country estate or Sir Phillip Sassoon, Port Lympne’s 600 acres of private parkland is now home to more than 900 endangered animals including: the largest herd of black rhino in the UK, western lowland gorillas, tigers, lions, leopards and so much more. Our parks support conservation charity, The Aspinall Foundation, protecting and releasing animals back into the wild.

This October half term, Kids go Half Price! You’ll be enchanted by the antics of our lion pride, bewitched by little Louango, and his gorilla family and charmed by the weird and wonderful creatures you’ll spot lurking in the undergrowth! For the truly daring, Dinosaur Forest awaits; marvel at the tremendous T Rex, stare at the Stegosaurus, feel the terror of the Pterodactyl and delight at the sheer size of the Diplodocus! Take a step back in time and come face-to-face with some of the most fearsome creatures.

We are delighted to announce the opening of our new restaurant and bar: The Garden Room, nestled within Sir Phillip Sassoon’s original stable yard. The Garden Room’s carefully curated menu features only the freshest and best local seasonal ingredients that the autumn harvest has to offer. The menu, designed by Port Lympne’s Executive Head Chef Lee Edney, ensures there is something to suit all tastes and occasions. The food is complemented by an extensive drink’s menu, which includes a unique botanical themed cocktail that provides a nod to the garden-inspired surroundings, locally produced fine wines, and a range of Kent ales.

The Garden Room is open for dinner reservations 7 days per week and offers a traditional Sunday lunch menu. Diners who book a table for Sunday lunch will also have complimentary access to the Reserve and can use the opportunity as a way to work up an appetite or walk off their lunch later in the day. Visit out website to find out how to book! www.aspinallfoundation.org/garden-room/

If you want a staycation to remember, Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve offers a range of unique short breaks, which includes a 180-degree panoramic glass dome, wigwams and treehouses. For those brave enough to sleep with lions or tigers, you can book luxury lodges which feature large picture windows into their enclosure.
