The Hedgerow at Wainhill

The Hedgerow is a pretty detached clapperboard lodge which was built in 2019 and is available for short breaks – a minimum of three nights’ stay or for a longer one or two week, self-catered holiday. It has stunning views overlooking The Ridgeway National Trail and is the perfect country getaway for couples who want to enjoy a romantic and rural retreat in the heart of The Chilterns, yet is still within an hour of Central London. 

Beautifully furnished and exceptionally comfortable The Hedgerow has its own kitchen, shower room with all singing and dancing shower cabin and separate bedroom off the living room with a Hypnos Kingsize bed. The lodge is ideal to use as a base to explore the Chilterns and all the many wonderful local attractions such as Oxford, Blenheim, Waddesdon Manor and Henley to name but a few.

With a separate driveway and private parking; walking and cycling straight onto The Ridgeway itself, it is the perfect place to come and enjoy an action packed holiday or just stop, relax and take in the beauty of the countryside surrounding The Hedgerow.  With the lodge comes the complimentary use of “Alice” my 1950’s vintage English Eccles caravan.  She provides a wonderful space to just sit back and do absolutely nothing!

One, well behaved dog is welcome and we provide a dog bowl, bed, throw and towel (and home-made dog treats of course!).  There is a secure, well fenced private garden attached to The Hedgerow and dogs also have the use of our fenced garden too.  From the back gates there is miles of wonderful walking directly onto the Ridgeway National Trail and many other Bridleways and Footpaths which all link up together.

Ermana natural skincare products, Chiltern cold pressed rapeseed oils plus a home baked Victoria sponge cake and a bottle of home produced apple juice are just a few of the thoughtful extras for all guests at The Hedgerow.

With a private driveway and parking there is walking and cycling straight onto The Ridgeway itself from The Hedgerow and miles of footpaths and trails to discover.  Picnic in the clover meadow, have a workout on the yoga platform or simply sit and admire the view.

The Hedgerow is available for mini breaks and short stays throughout the year – dogs are very welcome.
