Rathfinny Wine Estate - Flint Barn

About

What a little gem The Flint Barns is!

The Flint Barns has been stunningly restored from dereliction after the storm of 1987 and is truly a “home away from home”, available to stay at on a catered basis, or to hire for functions, throughout the year. This is an ideal venue for all kinds of rural retreats, from family get togethers and reunions, school and educational trips, and business meetings and functions as well. A fantastic setting for celebrating a special occasion, or relaxing with friends.

All of the bedrooms, which vary from double through to 8 bedded shared rooms, are en suite and there are extra showers and toilets in the corridors if needed. There is disabled access on the ground floor with no stairs. The building can accommodate up to 45 people but is also available to smaller groups if required.

Full catering is provided on site by our resident chef, all produce is locally sourced and everything is prepared and cooked on site - so if you fancy just sitting with your feet up enjoying the wood burner and a glass of wine whilst we prepare all of the meals, then this is the place for you. Why not enjoy a big family roast, summertime barbecue or a group hog roast outside in the lovely courtyard.

The Barns is located in the perfect situation for lovers of the South Downs Way just a mile away, great countryside and also the seaside. A huge variety of walks and enjoyment await you. Set in the middle of the Rathfinny vineyard, it's just 1 mile to the idyllic village of Alfriston in the South Downs National Park, only 5 miles from the beach & Seven Sisters Country Park, and 30 minutes drive to Brighton.

Nestled in the far west of the Estate, The Flint Barns is where the old world meets the new. A stroll through the vines will allow you to fully appreciate the position Rathfinny holds in this iconic landscape. Learn about our vineyard and the way in which we will create our Sussex Sparkling. Explore the vineyard, the history and wildlife of Rathfinny Wine Estate.
