Nestling in Stunning Hampshire countryside in the midst of the South Downs National Park, Langrish House has been home to 7 generations of the Talbot-Ponsonby family and the house retains its warm, family feel.  It is steeped in history dating back to 1644 when the Royalist Prisoners taken at the Battle of Cheriton were forced to dig vaults.

Now a small country house hotel , it is an ideal place for Parties, Conferences, Meetings and Weddings (there is also an outside wedding venue).

The restaurant, Fredricks, has 2AA rosettes for fine dining.

Langrish House has a Gold Award for Green Tourism.

It is within easy reach of National Trust properties, Uppark and Hinton Ampner, historic Portsmouth, Jane Austen’s Chawton, Gilbert White’s Selborne, Goodwood, Cowdray, Chichester and Winchester.

Road Directions

From London:

Take the A3 (M) to Petersfield.

Take the A272 to Winchester and Alton

After 2 miles you will enter the village of Langrish.  At the bottom of the hill there is a turn to the left marked with a brown tourist sign, saying Langrish House.

Langrish House is ½ mile up this lane on the left.  There is a large sign and some white walls.

From Winchester

Take the A272 towards Petersfield.

There is a crossroads with traffic lights at the West Meon Hut.  Continue towards Petersfield for 4 miles until you reach Langrish.

You enter Langrish down a steep, windy hill.  At the bottom of the hill, just after the church (which is on your right) there is a right hand turn marked with a brown tourist sign, saying Langrish House.

Langrish House is ½ mile up this lane on the left.  There is a large sign and some white walls.

Public Transport Directions

We are on Bus Route 67 which travels between Winchester and Petersfield.  The bus stop is right outside our gate.
