Greenhill Glamping

About

Our shepherd’s hut dates back to the 1890’s and has been lovingly restored keeping as many of the original features as possible.  We offer a cosy hideaway oozing with charm and character with the hut sitting in its own private grass meadow with stunning views across our beautiful Alkham Valley and our farm with sheep and horses grazing across the hills.

The hut is very spacious inside and has been furnished with bespoke features to a very high standard.  You have all the comforts you can’t live without including a luxury hot shower with toilet & basin, heated towel rail, luxury king-size bed with goose down duvet and pillows, kitchen area with table and chairs.  The hut is fully insulated with sheep’s wool and there is a cosy wood burner with a free supply of logs to keep you warm, there’s even a controllable background electric heater when the fire is not lit so you are warm and cosy at any time of the year.

What you will find in our shepherd’s hut:

  • Nespresso coffee machine to make delicious coffee.
  • Locally made toiletries.
  • Welcome pack includes places to eat, maps for local walks, things to do, special places to visit.
  • Fresh milk in the fridge, complimentary teas and coffee with homemade cake.
  • Dualit toaster & kettle.
  • Dual electric hob for light cooking and not forgetting a hairdryer!
  • Quality bedding and towels are all included.

Outside the hut:

  • Table & Chairs.
  • Seating around the fire-pit with a barbeque.
  • Log store to keep the fire-pit and wood burner fed for the duration of your stay.
  • Private parking next to the hut, so there is no need for long walks with your luggage.

There are plenty of activities & places to visit during your stay with Dover Castle and the famous White Cliffs of Dover only 10 minutes drive away.  The historic city of Canterbury is just 20 minutes drive away.  Or exploring our local Alkham Valley on foot, bike or horseback you will see some beautiful countryside.
