The Black Horse
Located just off North Laine, this pub has an extremely friendly atmosphere. The Black Horse is a tad on the small side, so it can get crowded at times. However, there are plans to expand it and also put in a small courtyard. The clientele is pretty musical, with jam sessions, live music and people bringing their own records to play. Youngs and Abbotts real ales are on tap as well as a splendid wine cellar with superior red and white wines sold by the (very large) glass. Food is also served throughout the day, which is of equally high quality.
