Set on the banks of the River Thames on the stretch of the river immortalised in "The Wind in the Willows”, where Jerome K Jerome chronicled the escapades of his friends’ visits in “Three Men in a Boat”, you can enjoy the tranquillity and peace of the riverside setting in our beautiful old beamed Boathouse. We have established a unique, buzzy, informal restaurant; our emphasis is on the quality of the food, wines and service.

In the older part of the Boathouse, you can watch your food being grilled on our famous open charcoal fire – sparkling fresh fish, game in the appropriate season and in addition there are soups, salads, shellfish, casseroles and the puds are very special. Alternatively, take a window seat in our wonderful beamed conservatory to get one of the best views of the river all year round. In fine weather, the Boathouse goes al fresco onto the terrace, just a few feet from the river. There are tables by the sign on the jetty, beautifully set and lit in the evening.

The Boathouse wine list is an enthusiastically chosen selection of our favourite wines. We have a small fine wine collection, offering some remarkable wines bought in auction.

If you fancy a longer escape from reality, we have three beautiful rooms for guests to stay. The Boathouse offers a wonderful setting for larger parties and weddings; we also have a small private meeting room for business guests.

Magnificent food, delicious wines and true hospitality offer a perfect backdrop for an outstanding occasion.
