The Allotment
Formerly a well known South East Kent family wine merchant's, The Allotment restaurant's facade still retains the original stained glass window vine designs. Inside is an airy and spacious dining room, incorporating the bar and an open kitchen. The room has been restored to give an modern, pleasant and comfortable ambiance, sympathetically designed to its gothic heritage. Through to the back of the restaurant there is a beautifully appointed flint-walled courtyard garden planted with herbs and flowers. The terrace offers a unique and secluded retreat from the busy high street.
The Allotment is founded on the principles of home-cooked good simple food sourcing local produce wherever possible. Lunch and dinner menus change regularly depending on season and availability. Great coffees served throughout the day with a selection of home made cakes.
Opening details: Tuesday - Saturday, 8.30am to 11pm.
