Yateley Common Country Park

About

With heathland, woodland and ponds, Yateley Common offers a variety of experiences to visitors.

You can walk, cycle and horse ride through 193 hectares of varied and wildlife rich surroundings. The Common also offers visitors the opportunity to fish, birdwatch, and get involved in practical conservation through volunteering. Once infamous for highwaymen and smugglers, today’s attraction is unspoilt heathland and natural history.

Much of the Common is also designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Special Protection Area (SPA) because of its importance for wildlife. It has a dense network of bridleways with many smaller paths.

Located between Yateley and the A30, there is no charge to the Common, and access is via three car parks – one is at Wyndhams Pool off Cricket Hill Lane. The other two car parks are off the A30 between Yateley and Blackwater. Access to the west end of the site is by parking at Blackbushe Airport, off the A30. Fishing is at Wyndhams Pond by day ticket. No camping or overnight caravanning.
