Ventnor Botanic Gardens
Botanic Garden
Ventnor Botanic Garden boasts an impressive collection of sub-tropical plants and trees, making it a perfect place for all ages to explore and learn. With the New Zealand and Australian gardens, the South African Terraces, Hydrangea Dell and Mediterranean gardens, you can travel the world in an afternoon.
At VBG, we actively encourage all our visitors to step off of our pathways and discover something new for themselves. We make botany accessible and interesting, putting all aspects of our work on show for people to see and interact with.
As well as a stroll around the extensive gardens, visitors can take a tour of our secret tunnel that leads to the sea and experience the heat and humidity of the rainforest by entering our Tropical House. Art exhibitions and educational workshops take place regularly in our Visitor Centre, see website for details.
The Plantation Room café is the place to go for a coffee and home made cake or to relax with a book from our library whilst overlooking the Palm Garden below from the sun terrace. Edulis is our newest café and restaurant serving ultra fresh food using our own produce grown on site.
Regular events and jazz evenings taking place, so check our website to keep up with all that's happening.
Admission fees now apply to help with the upkeep and development of the gardens.
Adults £5, Children £3.00, Senoir Citizens £4.50.
